I'm always sharing behind the scenes stories about the day and life of a floral and event designer. It's true, I love my job because it never gets boring, every year, I start off with a clean slate ready for more challenges and surprises. No two days are ever the same. Some days it's all just office work, filing, writing proposals, blah blah blah. Other days are filled with intense labor production + setups, sweat and elbow grease, and drama. But ever so often I get to contribute to entertaining and interesting design projects like this one for good friends, Sabrina and Eunice Moyle of Hello! Lucky.
This quirky and darling video aptly titled Handmade Weddings is inspired by their new wedding book also with the same name, Handmade Weddings. Though my part was quite minimal (just arranging simple floral bud vases, loaning real "floral tools and buckets") in this video, I always get a thrill seeing creativity at work because it makes you become a better designer and artist.
Give it up for Sabrina, Eunice and Shauna (and the fab videographer/stylists) that made this quite entertaining and inspiration.
If you love this video, you will love their new book, Handmade Weddings which is on newsstand now.

On Nancy's Brown Bag, you will find wedding ideas, insights on the busy life of a floral designer, flower do's and don't, and all things a floral designer might need to know. Come with me on my journey through the ups, downs, ins and outs of working in one of the most fascinating businesses - the business of creating INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE wedding & events.
